Cable Trolleys

Cable trolleys allow the crane to move along a runway while maintaining a continuous electrical connection for power and control signals. The cable trolley is an essential part of the crane’s festooning system, which consists of cables and conductors that are suspended and arranged to provide flexibility and mobility. The cable trolley typically consists of a carriage or trolley assembly that moves along a track or rail attached to the crane’s structure. Electrical cables or conductors are connected to the trolley, allowing them to move with the crane as it traverses the working area.

The festoon system with a cable trolley is commonly used in overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and other types of material handling equipment where a mobile power supply is required. It helps prevent cable tangling and damage while allowing the crane to cover a larger working area without interruptions in power.

Kito can supply two types of trolleys.

1. T-Track Type Cable Trolleys

Guide rollers on either sides and in the bottom makes cable trolleys smoother for operating compared to regular cable trolleys.
